According to the experience cooler boxes manufacturers of cold storage engineering, generally in the environment of 0℃-20℃, such as workshop air conditioners, cool warehouses, cold storage halls, fresh-keeping warehouses, air-conditioning warehouses, curing warehouses, etc., choose 4mm or 4.5mm air coolers with asphalt; -16℃~- 25°C environment, such as low-temperature freezer and low-temperature logistics warehouse, use air coolers with a plate spacing of 6mm-8mm; for quick-freezing warehouses at -25°C~-35°C, generally choose air coolers with a plate spacing of 10mm and 12mm to quickly freeze goods.

If the humidity is high, the variable fin spacing cooling fan will be selected, and the fin spacing on the air inlet side can reach 16mm. However, there are also some occasions where the fin spacing of the air cooler cannot be selected only based on the temperature, such as rapid pre-cooling of meat and vegetables, acid discharge, etc.

Although the temperature of the cold storage is generally set above 0 °C, due to the high incoming temperature, the temperature is lowered, the speed of the goods is fast, and the humidity is high. If the air cooler with a plate spacing of 4mm or 4.5mm is used, it is not suitable. Air coolers with a sheet spacing of 8mm or even 10mm must be used. There are also fresh-keeping warehouses that store fruits and vegetables such as garlic and apples.

The suitable storage temperature is generally -2°C. For such fresh-keeping or air-conditioned warehouses where the storage temperature is lower than 0°C, cold air with a spacing of not less than 8mm is also required. So as not to block the air duct due to rapid frost formation and increase power consumption.
